José Pedro de Camargo Rodrigues de Souza

– Born in the city of São Paulo, on July 20, 1952, son of Antonio Daniel Rodrigues de Souza and Lina Aparecida de Camargo Rodrigues de Souza, he studied at the Metropolitan Minor Seminary of the Imaculada Conceição, of the Archdiocese of São Paulo, having completed his studies there. gym and high school.

– Graduated in Law from the Law School of Largo de São Francisco (University of São Paulo) and in Literature (Portuguese and English) from the Nossa Senhora Medianeira School of Philosophy.

– Studied a Masters in Social History (Middle Ages) at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo, not having presented the respective dissertation. By appointment of the Presidency of the Superior Labor Court, he participated in the Advanced Studies in Politics and Strategy Course at the Escola Superior de Guerra - ESG.

– By public contest, he was an intern at the Municipality of São Paulo and, in this capacity, he was enrolled in the São Paulo Section of the Brazilian Bar Association, since 1974.

– Subsequently, he permanently enrolled with the OAB-SP, under number 46085. He practiced civil and labor law in the offices of Drs. Lázaro Bittencourt de Camargo and Jaime Vélez.

– By competition of tests and titles, he was nominated in 11th place for the position of Labor Prosecutor (April/1983), exercising this function in the 2nd Region (Second Category Prosecutor) and in Brasília (First Category Prosecutor). He was an advisor to Judge Pedro Benjamin Vieira in the TRT of the 2nd Region.

– In November 1986, with the creation of the Regional Labor Court of the 15th Region, he was appointed Judge Togado, in a vacancy destined for Member of the Public Labor Ministry. He presided over the 2nd Panel and the former Normative Group. In the biennium 1992/1994, he was elected Vice-Corregidor and, in December 1995, he took office as Regional Corregidor.

– Elected President of the Court for the 1996/1998 biennium, his administration distinguished itself by directing all forces towards the core activity, that is, judging cases in the 1st and 2nd degrees. To this end, joint efforts were instituted in both instances, and the Court, in 1997, resolved 52,929 cases, and in 1998, 52,782 cases, according to data from the C. TST report of June 1999.

– He was elected Vice-Coordinator (1997) and Coordinator (1998) of the College of Presidents and Corregidors of the Regional Labor Courts in Brazil.
